About

Megan Mucci loves to read & learn how just about anything is made. Even as a child Megan loved to spend hours making everything from puppets made out of nylons to her mysterious kithen potions. It was this desire to learn & to experimentthat lead her into screen printing and to Harrilu (pronounced Hairy- Loo).

Megan graduated with a BS in Communications/Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. As a graduate from the Creative program, Megan shot out into the world ready to become a great art director.  After a short time in agency life, she realized that the culture of creative advertising wasn’t quite what she wanted., and moved  on to consumer products & product development marketing. After switching companies and moving from childrens products to office supplies, Megan craved a new creative outlet.  Armed with curiosity and a well-stocked art store, she  found herself picking up a screenprinting kit. After the first try, she knew she had found something to fill the creative void.

Megan combines her love of screenprinting with her ‘oodles of doodles’ that she continues to create to make her fresh & fun designs for Harrilu. They are sold at stores throughout the US, Europe, Australia, as well as online at www.harrilu.com.

Megan Mucci has been featured in magazines , blogs, & newspapers such as Pregnancy & Newborn, Pregnancy Journal, Earnshaws, Daily Candy, Quick, Craft Revolution, and more.

When Megan is not working, its usually because she’s roped in her husband, Michael to help her. From production to planning &  finances, Michael  is an important part of Harrilu. Together they enjoy traveling around the country selling Harrilu, working on DIY projects at home and  taking care of their
small-yet-mighty mutts Harriet & Pippa Lou (of which Harrilu is named after- pronounced Hārry-Loo).

Megan continues to branch out beyond just tshirts and is continually experimenting in new mediums & new formats. Look for new accessories & housewares coming to www.harrilu.com soon.
